Christmas

It's that time of the year again..

For many of us, it's the time where much work needs to be done. Especially with our church's Christmas production. Most if not all of us are rushing about, memorizing lines, building props, attending music practices, dance practices, you know the drill. Maybe for the mothers, or whoever else who are planning to throw a party at their houses, preparation needs to be made to prepare the for feast. Turkeys (salivate), chicken, potatoes...you name it. Maybe some would even purchase some red wine to go with it. Oh man, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Before we know it, christmas would be over, dramas would be put up, showcased and celebrated. Then after that, we need a break after the all the hype.
We pat ourselves on the back for doing a job well done.
Let's look forward to another great Christmas next year.

Is that what you want to remember about Christmas?

Christmas always means something special to me.
Or maybe, it used to.

Since I was a kid, I always get this tingly feeling whenever Christmas is round the corner.
I waited so anxiously for 2 weeks before Christmas , cos that's when we were allowed to set up the Christmas tree. We got together, brought down the Christmas tree box which is always covered up with dust. And we set it up, together with the ornaments and christmas lights.

Once we lit it up. it really felt like Christmas!

The presents. oh the presents! Boxes with colorful wrappings lay so temptingly under the tree.
We always shook it and tried guessing what was inside. My best present was when I was 12. I remember yanking off the wrappers to find a huge black helicopter inside. It couldn't fly of course. But I held it so preciously. If I could cry then, I would.

Christmas Caroling. I became a carol novice to an expert throughout my teenage years. I can even remember the lines till today. The tenor, bass parts. The excitement of going houses to houses and bringing smile to their faces. Of course the spread on the table brought smiles to our faces as well. :P

My best christmas memory was one of those Christmases when I was still young. And it was a Christmas morning. I jumped from my bed to find mom and dad having breakfast. I couldn't eat a thing. Dragged them and all my siblings to the Christmas tree and started opening presents.
Together as a family.

Throughout the years all these started to fade away..

I'm not saying that all these church events are bad. No. They're all good. But, once in a while, it could be good to just stop everything, and bring ourselves back to the time when we first celebrated Christmas.

"Christmas, isn't Christmas till it happens to your heart"

I look back last year's Christmas. I realized how so many things have changed just in a year.

How everything's gone better. .
How God's been watching and taking care of me...
How I've known and gain so much...
How some of my dreams came true..:)

2 more weeks before it gets crazy. Before I get all gila and hectic.
I just wanna wish everyone...

Have yourself a ..

Ja.
